OSPRE I courses

LEAD Associates provides a comprehensive modular study system for officers taking the Part I OSPRE promotion examination at both Sergeant and Inspector level.

 ½ Day Introduction to OSPRE.

A half day session covering OSPRE as an examination, study and examination techniques together with provision of a “hot topic” list, compiled from research into previous examinations and graded into a unique traffic light system of red/ amber/ green subjects. We also provide a 16 week guide to enable students to work through a prepared study plan and ensure all subjects in the examination are covered.

4 x ½ day focussed training sessions

Four ½ day sessions, one for each study book (Crime, General Police Duties, Road Policing and Evidence and Procedure) split into manageable timed inputs. Each input section commences with a knowledge check for that subject matter and is followed by didactic trainer led delivery of the study material. This system allows students to assess their knowledge which is then enhanced by focussing on “hot topics”, again using our traffic light system, thus providing guidance and clarity to students.

1 day mock examination

Full 3 hour, 150 question mock examination which is then fully debriefed by training staff in order for students to comprehend the rationale behind the question and answer. This allows focus on “why” the answer given is correct and therefore enhances learning.

Online support

Facility provided for students to “ask the trainer” for clarity through a registered e-mail system with a 48 hour turnaround on responses. This allows clarity to be provided whilst students study.
