OSPRE II Courses

Focused training for those students successful in OSPRE Part I and are preparing for the structured role play examination, OSPRE Part II, at both Sergeant and Inspector level. All training material is based on recent examination feedback and is reviewed annually.

Distance learning workbook

Provision of a distance learning workbook providing an introduction to OSPRE II and exploring some of the models that have been effectively used in the examination.  It also features useful hints and tips on the examination process and allows for a level playing field during our one day intensive course.

One day OSPRE II course

Trainer led delivery which includes the understanding the examination process, exploring marking guides and competencies together with tips and hints. Students then prepare and complete six stations with comprehensive debriefs at each stage. LEAD Associates staff both role act and assess leaving the students to focus on their own performance. Each student is provided with a feedback document on the conclusion of the course suggesting areas for development.

Consolidation day

A further study day during which students practice a number of scenario stations in an examination setting. One session focuses on meeting members of the public and the issues that they present through partnership, perceptions of crime and disorder and dissatisfaction. The second session focuses on the management of internal staff who present developmental and potential conduct issues. Each student is assessed throughout the day by an allocated assessor who is then able to provide comprehensive and meaningful feedback based on the individual’s performance throughout the day.
